ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent is responsible for the following roles and responsibilities, in compliance with the established system, while contributing to its preventive and continuous improvement.

  • Lead the planning and implementation of the project.

  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and determine resource requirements.

  • Manage the project budget.

  • Plan and control project schedules, while providing leadership and support to the project team.

  • Ensure quality assurance is established and maintained throughout the project execution.

  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards according to company policies, client requirements, and CNESST regulations.

  • Continuously monitor and report project progress to all stakeholders.

  • Prepare and draft progress reports.

  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outcomes.

  • Authorize payments to subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Ensure technical follow-up (technical data sheets, inspections, etc.) and warranty follow-ups.

  • Establish proper structures and procedures, and ensure the preparation of end-of-project documentation and manuals with Project Managers.

  • Perform any other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS

Education / Experience / Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Construction with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or College diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) with more than 7 years of experience.

  • Experience must be in the construction field.

KNOWLEDGE
  • Excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written.

  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

  • Knowledge of project planning.

  • Knowledge of project cost tracking.
