Supervisor: Construction Director
The incumbent is responsible for the following roles and responsibilities, in compliance with the established system, while contributing to its preventive and continuous improvement.
Lead the planning and implementation of the project.
Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and determine resource requirements.
Manage the project budget.
Plan and control project schedules, while providing leadership and support to the project team.
Ensure quality assurance is established and maintained throughout the project execution.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards according to company policies, client requirements, and CNESST regulations.
Continuously monitor and report project progress to all stakeholders.
Prepare and draft progress reports.
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outcomes.
Authorize payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure technical follow-up (technical data sheets, inspections, etc.) and warranty follow-ups.
Establish proper structures and procedures, and ensure the preparation of end-of-project documentation and manuals with Project Managers.
Perform any other related duties as required.
Education / Experience / Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Construction with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or College diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) with more than 7 years of experience.
Experience must be in the construction field.
Excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written.
Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
Knowledge of project planning.
Knowledge of project cost tracking.
Ability to manage priorities effectively.
Strong organizational skills.
Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
